Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions you will make for your child and your family. Through the admissions procedures we hope to give each prospective family as much insight and knowledge about our educational program as possible. We actively seek children who will succeed and flourish at Escuela del Sol Montessori. These students are ready for the independently-driven, rich course of study and the academic challenges of interdisciplinary education. While there is no “typical” Escuela student, our children share a love of learning and the ability to succeed in a collaborative learning environment.
The admissions process starts with the Parent Observation. After exploring our web site, a visit to the school allows prospective parents to sit in classrooms for a personal look at how the Montessori program works. A discussion with a school administrator immediately following the observation will help answer questions and give more information, all to enable you to make a good, informed decision and to help ensure a good family and school fit. Preference for admissions is given to those whose families make a commitment through Elementary, to siblings of current students and to students with previous Montessori experience.
Admission to all programs is as follows:
• We start with the parent observation of Toddler, Primary and Elementary classrooms and an interview with admissions staff. Please plan on about an hour for this visit, and note that this is a visit for adults only. You may schedule this and subsequent appointments by calling or filling in a pre-admission application.
• The next step is to bring your child to the school. Please see link "How to Apply" for specifics related to age level.
• During the enrollment cycle, families on the Wait List will receive the link to the Enrollment Contract and any further information or forms.
Direct all admissions inquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org.
