Dear Escuela Community,
Hoping you are enjoying a peaceful New Year filled with all the promises that new beginnings hold. Escuela is also embarking on just such a journey and we want to keep you regularly in the proverbial loop.
I had the pleasure of touring the campus with my husband and daughter over the winter break when school was closed. So many memories!
Friedje and I continue our collaborative work with the many people committed to this excellent organization. I have been meeting with and learning the individual stories that are the warp and weft of the Escuela tapestry – from Harwood staff and Escuela faculty to maintenance, the Board of Trustees, and alumni. I look forward to meeting all of you as well.

Friedje and I will soon be having a fireside chat, which we will share with you digitally in the coming weeks. Please know that as we make this transition, the end of a chapter, the start of another, we move forward with intention, fidelity to Escuela’s mission, and open hearts – we are on this adventure, this new beginning together with you.
